It’s been a challenging week. Our poor little guy has an infection in both ears, hacking cough and more snot than it should be possible for a small person to produce.
It’s horrible when they’re so ill and you can’t make it better for them. On the plus side, I’ve had more lovely baby cuddles this week than in the past few months put together.
It has got me thinking about how I would cope looking after the little guy if I became ill, which is one of the reasons I started this blog. I’m going to get healthier, and the blog is going to (hopefully) help me stay on track.
So, what am I going to do?
1) Eat less crap. I’m so drawn to “treat” food, especially at lunch time when no one else is there to see, so I’m going to start planning easy, quick but healthy lunches in the week.
2) Eat more fruit and veg. It sounds so simple. Replace the crap with the healthy stuff.
3) Drink more water. I actually like a nice cold glass of water, yet rarely have any. So I’m going to aim to drink 8 glasses of water a day and see how much better I feel.
That’s it. I’m off for one last evening of whatever I want, the health kick starts tomorrow. Wish me luck!
